Side tasks are obtained using the Forum, rewarded during Expeditions or requested by your Settlers during triggered events or at the Town Hall (the final bus upgrade). Tasks have a variety of objectives and differing rewards, only one Forum task may be active, but additional tasks may be chosen when the current task has either been completed, failed or abandoned.

Notes:

  • Seed rewards are always new discoveries, you will never receive a seed you've already acquired.
  • Production of resources, listed below as [number] are not for a fixed quantity, the required amount is seemingly based on settlement size.
  • When asked to *produce* items or resources, it is only necessary to generate new items and exchanges in the Trading Post count toward production.

Forum Tasks[]

The forum offers a variety of different tasks and also a small boost to nearby housing. Some tasks can be relatively easy to complete and might help stabilise settler happiness or provide some much needed knowledge to help your settlement establish itself.

Expedition Tasks[]

Expedition tasks are acquired during exploration and the completion of certain Expedition sites. These function largely the same as Forum tasks, ie. you'll be asked to produce or build something, a given number of times and receive rewards for doing so.
